- You received a late notice.
- The creditor sent the account to colletions.
- A lawsuit was filed against you.
- A person served legal documents about the lawsuit.
- The Judge awarded the creditor a judgment against you.
- The creditor (Plaintiff in the lawsuit) requested the appointment of a receiver.
- The receiver located financial assets like your bank account.
- You (Defendant in the lawsuit) should contact The Receivers Office.
- You enter into an affordable agreement to satisfy the judgment.
- Continue to honor the agreement until fulfilled.
- Once the judgment has been satisfied, the plaintiff's attorney issues a satisfaction of judgment to the court.
- Your bank account will usually be released within 7-10 business days after a payment agreement is reached and signed.
